Our Programs

Our community is centered on God, 12 Step Recovery, Spiritual and Personal Growth. Our community learns personal accountability and together we journey into a new way of being in the world. Members of our community have reunited with family and friends, got new jobs, found their own homes and rebuilt their lives.

Centered in God

At Second Chance Sober Living we believe that God will do for us what we can’t do for ourselves. Inspired by the 12 Step work we acknowledge that a power greater than oneself is necessary to find a new way of living. We work together to find that power and learn to live in a new way.

spiritual growth

The disease of addiction is a true and present reality for our community. The truth that any one member of our community must have a higher power to guide them to a new life is mentored by others who have been through some of the same pitfalls and struggles. This community lives honestly and vulnerability in a practice of prayer and meditation along with study and service.

12 Step recovery

Our community is deeply involved in 12 Step Recovery groups throughout Nashville. While we honor the tradition of anonymity inside those programs we exalt the work of the programs as we continue to see true growth in the lives of those who work the steps and grow both personally and spiritually.

Personal growth

The old saying is “Faith to move mountains, bring a shovel.” At Second Chance Sober Living we value the work done with spiritual growth but understand there are specific steps and actions we must each make to becoming better functioning members of society.

personal accountability

Living in a community, in close proximity with others it is difficult to not understand and see the ramifications one’s actions can bring on others living a new life as well. Our community works together for the betterment of the person and the whole as we know we are all in this life together and our future can be bright and shining if we work our individual programs and serve those who need assistance.
